EMR MANAGEMENT COMPLETES COURSE IN “PRESENTATION SKILLS DYNAMICS”
During the week of November 26, 2007, the management team of EMR, Inc. completed the “Presentation Skills Dynamics” course presented by Paulsen Productions, Inc., headquartered in Elgin, Illinois. Instructors were Gerry Paulsen (President and CEO) and Cheryl Kaspar (Executive Vice President). EMR management personnel traveled to Lawrence, Kansas from their offices across the country. The management team was divided into two groups and each group underwent the two-day training course given exclusively for EMR at Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence. The program began with an interview and discovery process for each participant to learn his or her objectives and specific areas of desired improvement. Each participant received extensive and individualized training including live rehearsals, presentation organization, and coaching in the physical delivery of a message using a Paulsen’s copywritten methodology. Presentation modules were videotaped and reviewed with each participant one-on-one with Ms. Kaspar, who is one of Paulsen’s Certified Speaking Professional InstructorsSM.
Upon completing the course, EMR’s CEO Connie Cook said, “This was excellent training for our managers. I can’t wait to apply some of these methods at my next presentation.” A refresher course is planned in the Spring of 2008 during EMR’s annual managers’ meeting.
