EMR Begins Uganda Water Well Charitable Project
EMR is beginning it's first international charitable project of 2010. We will provide a water well for a community in Kampala, Uganda, Africa. The community includes over 1,000 families that have no access to clean water. Currently, all water for washing laundry, dishes, etc., is carried in buckets by the women and children in the community. Much of their time, money and energy is spent in transporting water.
Mike Cook, EMR Executive Vice President, visited Uganda and is continuing to build relationships with community leaders and is seeing a need that EMR can fulfill.
"We are thankful to the EMR family, that from the profits of our operations, come the resources to build the well and help the Kampala Community," says Cook. EMR's mission in creating the water well in Uganda is to improve the lives of others. Please stay tuned for more updates and information on EMR's Charitable Project in Uganda.
